What kind of litter should I use?
Based on our testing, Clumping Clay litter offers the best performance. Mineral and Mixed clumping litters are also supported.
Important: Please do not use Tofu, Pellets, or Crystal/Silica litters. They are not compatible with the sifting mechanism and may damage the unit.
Is my cat too big (or too small)?
The open-top design provides plenty of room. It is perfect for cats ranging from 3 lbs up to 18 lbs.
Note for kittens: If your kitten is under 3 lbs, please use the device in "Manual Mode" until they gain enough weight to trigger the smart safety sensors.
What if my cat refuses to use it?
Most cats transition easily within 3-5 days, especially thanks to our open design that feels familiar to them. We recommend placing the Mister Meow box next to their old one for the first few days. Plus, you are covered by our 30-Day Risk-Free Guarantee.
Do I need to buy special waste bags?
No, and we will never force you to. We include a starter roll so you can use the device right out of the box. After that, you have the freedom to use any standard trash bag that fits the drawer. We don't believe in locking our customers into expensive subscriptions for simple plastic bags.
